Job description
The University of St Andrews is looking to appoint an experienced Web Content Editor and Trainer to join the Digital Communications team. The post is key to ensuring the University website is standardised, simplified, and consolidated to increase efficiency and improve user experience.
The role will involve creating engaging web content to ensure that we present the best first impression of the University. The post holder will also be responsible for developing and running training programmes for colleagues involved in updating the website.
Reporting to the Digital Communications team leader, the ideal candidate should have excellent writing skills, with particular expertise in writing for the web, and experience working with and implementing workflow processes. The candidate should be able to convey complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, for a variety of audiences.
An understanding of accessibility requirements and search engine optimisation would be desirable. The candidate should also have a familiarity with working with media formats for the web (images, video and audio).
Experience of working within a Higher Education environment will be an advantage.
