Job description
- Oversee day-to-day operations and management of Groundworks / agricultural/amenity teams (duties and resourcing and development for current and planned work).
- Allocation of plant and labour on a day-to-day basis.
- Working with customers to understand requirements, meet their needs and to ensure our services are delivered on time and budget.
- Develop new works from existing customers.
- Process improvement across existing business systems and structures.
- Operation of any plant and equipment as required.
- Order and manage material orders for site-based works and yard stored materials.
Person Specification:
- Understanding a wide cross section of earth/groundwork functions (site work, clearance, ditching, digger activities) and agricultural operations.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety policies and procedures including method statements and risk assessments.
- IT literate – MS Office, Industry specific software is desirable.
- Good communication skills.
- Works efficiently and calmly under pressure.
- Be open to and encourage change and development.
- Be proactive and constructive in problem solving and conflict management.
- Work and develop a young and enthusiastic work force and be prepared to pass on knowledge where needed.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, approachable, and professional.
- Must possess a high degree of planning and organisational skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £65,000.00 per year
