What you need to know about the role
We are looking for a Craft Team Member - Welder on days supporting fabrication and welding Scunthorpe site. You will work to achieve plant operational/workshop targets, product quality, customer service and health and safety objectives.
As part of a multi-disciplined team you will ensure the most effective engineering service is provided to our manufacturing customers.
Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.
The role will see you record details of your work activities, using the appropriate information systems.

What we need to know about you
You must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant mechanical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*
Ideally, you will have experience of mechanical maintenance within a commercial or heavy engineering environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
Knowledge of the steelmaking the process would be beneficial but is not essential, as extensive training will be provided.
*Certificate evidence will be required
