What it's like to work here:We’re a bit different at Castlefield Viaduct - we’re a new property with a new team, delivering a unique pilot scheme. You’ll be joining us at a very exciting time.

We’re a small team but we work within a wider context. As well as welcoming visitors to the viaduct, we also deliver community engagement and programming on and off site. Your main priority will be delivering excellent customer service and an outstanding visitor experience. However, you will also engage with stakeholders, local communities, and national and regional teams to help us to achieve the ambitions for the project.

Please note that we are a city centre site, and therefore there is currently no on-site staff parking available.

What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide excellent service to all our visitors, every day.

As a Welcome & Service Assistant at Castlefield Viaduct, it’s your role to introduce our visitors to this exciting pilot project through a bespoke tour and conversation. You'll be setting them up for an amazing experience and encouraging them to support the future of the viaduct. Importantly, you’ll be gathering and recording their opinions and feedback to feed into the possible evolution of the project.

You’ll be responsible for answering questions and making sure visitors can find everything they need. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place, you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and our work.

You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property. You’ll also champion fundraising as a key way our visitors can help the project grow to its full potential.
