• Design and build data models that enable efficient querying and analysis.
• Implement data relationships, hierarchies, and user-friendly navigation paths.
• Optimise data models for performance and scalability, including data compression and partitioning strategies.
• Implement calculated columns, measures, and DAX expressions to support complex calculations and aggregations.

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.
• Cleanse and transform data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Develop data pipelines and automate data refresh processes.

• Monitor and analyse the performance of Power BI solutions, identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimisation.
• Implement performance tuning techniques, such as query optimisation and data model optimisations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connections, transformations, and visualisations.

• Collaborate closely with Central Data Team, IT development, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective visualisations.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to promote Power BI adoption and best practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful implementation of Power BI solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including advanced data modelling, DAX expressions, and visualisation techniques.
• Proficiency in using Power BI Service, including managing dataflows, security, and content sharing.
• Strong understanding of relational and multidimensional data modelling concepts.
• Experience with data integration and ETL processes, using tools such as Power Query, SQL, and Power BI Desktop external tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with database technologies is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering efficient data models.
• Ability to identify and resolve performance and data quality issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Enthusiasm for staying up to date with the latest developments in Power BI and data analytics.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to learn new.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and knowledge of Microsoft BI / Power Platform stack is an advantage.

• Basic salary £55,000 - £60,000 per annum + bonus
