Job description Due to expansive growth, we are now recruiting a number of Night Shift Production Operatives at our Snacks Factory, Harwich, Essex. Whilst this will be on a zero hour contract initially, it will be with a view to being permanent full time within the the next 3 – 6 months. Salary/Rate of Pay: Starting from £10.42 per hour + night shift premium of 10% Status: Zero hours Hours of Work: 7pm till 7am (12 Hour Shift) Location: Harwich, Essex Progression opportunities available Typical daily duties will include: Inspect, pack food products, label cartons and stack Organise production processes to maximise efficiency and meet targets Ensure quality standards for all products are met, raising any concerns Ensure company procedures for Health, Hygiene and Safety and Food Safety are followed Manage operation of the line assigned and report any issues or breakdowns to the Production Manager/ Engineers Identify potential areas for improvement to production methods and processes Skills Required: Previous experience working within a food production environment desirable but not essential as full training will be provided to support ongoing progression/development Attention to detail is imperative Good numeracy and written skills Confident working in a team and independently Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Have a strong work ethic conveying confidence and passion in delivering high quality service Being committed to safety, quality and productivity Achieving a high standard of punctuality and attendance, following company production rules, adhering to health and safety rules and promote a safe working environment Due to the nature of the roles a degree of manual handling is required (training provided) You may have experience in some of the following: Filling out records including weight, metal checks, H&S, quality, and food safety Experience working in a labour-intensive, hands-on environment Forklift driving Food Production/ Packing / Machine operator experience Benefits 5.6 weeks holiday / 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) for full timers Development opportunities Canteen on site Free Staff Parking Staff Discounts (after successful probation) Company Pension Scheme Training and PPE will be provided If you’re looking to work for a fast-paced manufacturing company, where you learn and develop machining and production skills, we would love to hear from you.
