We have an exciting opportunity within Clumber Park's Visitor Welcome Team. Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team, you'll play a core part in providing fantastic customer service to our members and visitors.
Contract duration: Fixed term contract until 29-Feb-2024
Some weekends and bank holiday work is expected in line with Clumber Park's operational requirements.
This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. You’ll work 1080 hours over the duration of your contract, which will be around 30 hours per week.

What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe, we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is excellent, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of their visit. WSA responsibilities include:
- Welcoming visitors at Clumber Park’s admissions points, scanning membership cards and taking admission payments from our visitors
- Engaging with our visitors in the core area, based within the Information Point. Answering visitor queries, facilitating mobility scooter bookings and growing support through membership enrolments
- Mobile engagement (Roving) with visitors across the wider park including Lime Tree Avenue. Answering visitor queries, scanning NT membership cards and communicating the National Trust’s conservation message
- Growing support for the National Trust by promoting and facilitating NT membership, low level giving (donations) and charitable campaigns
- Creating a welcoming admissions point daily. Independently setting-up work area which will include some manual handling
- Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll work closely with your Service Assistant colleagues, volunteers and the wider park team to deliver outstanding visitor service, linking everything we do back to our cause and on-going charitable work
