Job description
This is your chance to join an exciting team based just north of Cannock, right on the edge of Cannock Chase. Mobell aren't your usual company - our main focus is providing services to expats in Japan, and most of the money we make goes to our charities in Malawi; you'll be making a real difference to the lives of people in one of the poorest countries in the world.
As a Web Developer, you’ll be working on projects for our businesses and charities. This includes our sales websites, customer portals and back-end systems. We’re a small, friendly team and it’s a great place to work; somewhere where you can make a real impact.
Skills we’re looking for include:
- Expert knowledge of responsive web design (knowledge of media queries)
- Excellent understanding of modern JavaScript
- Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS/SCSS
- Knowledge of frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation or similar
- Ability to debug & fix browser issues, including on mobile
- Strong design capabilities with an eye for detail
- An understanding of WordPress, especially themes
- Exposure to the PHP ecosystem
- Ability to work well in a team
We place strong emphasis on conversion rate optimisation and SEO, so experience of this is an advantage.
We’re currently offering hybrid working where you can choose to work at home or the office. However, we do require that you work at least one day a week in the office.
If this all sounds interesting, get in touch - we'd be pleased to hear from you!
