We are looking to recruit multiple Warehouse Chargehands at our distribution centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
We offer a permanent full time position working Night shifts from (18:00 - 06:00) and operate on a 4-on-4-off cycle (including weekends).
Pay, working hours & benefits:
We offer an hourly pay rate of £16.13 per hour.

As Warehouse Chargehand, you will be responsible for utilising available resources to maximise efficiency in order to achieve and exceed KPI`s. Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse, as well as providing a safe working environment for all by adhering to the Site Health & Safety procedures and ensuring that these are understood and practiced by the entire team.
You will also ensure high levels of hygiene and housekeeping in the warehouse at all times and deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate. Address any performance issues or training needs. As it is a fast paced Warehouse environment you will need to continuously monitor, review and act upon available operational reports ensuring quality and performance are never compromised and if you need to escalate any potential issues to the appropriate Warehouse Manager.
Manage new starters to receive comprehensive induction training and ensure team members are multi-skilled through planned training, coaching and development. Measuring the improvement in performance and increasing responsibility, thereby promoting a culture of employee engagement. Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP`s) and ensure the department continuously achieves a high level of customer focus and service. The Warehouse Supervisor will conduct team briefings daily/weekly as required, discussing with the staff any issues which may cause concern within the working environment, the successful candidate must have a proven track record using a WMS.

- Be able to demonstrate the commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various shift patterns which are able to respond to customer demand.
- Experience of HR related activities; performance review, appraisal, disciplinary, grievance and good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Monitor inbound or outbound Trunks to ensure SLAs are strictly adhered to.
- Based out of the site in Bristol, you will need to have a flexible approach to working hours – the shifts will be 12-hour night shifts (18:00-06:00) and operate on a 4-on-4-off cycle (including weekends).
