We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;
- Proactively develops strong customer relationships and satistaction, widening the DHL engagement with the customer and in depth knowledge of all customer contracts relating to the site including cost and service requirements and commercial obligations ;
- Deals with customer challenges both operationally and commercially on both a short term tactical basis as well as longer term more strategic issues.
- Manages multiple functions to meet customer and DHL needs. Likely to be reasonably complex in nature – multiple stakeholders/ competing interests;
- Responsibility for maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards within the operation, conducting full detail investigations into all incidents, accidents and near miss issues;
- Deploys own supply chain expertise, knowledge and innovation, and leverages knowledge from the wider DP DHL to input to customer's supply chain strategy and recommend and manage major changes to customer's current and future supply chain network.
- Management of projects as per customer strategy and account plan on time and to budget, often to tight deadlines;
- Building strong relationships with own team, Transport sites, suppliers, delivery locations and customers, for the benefit of the network, service and costs;
- Fostering an environment that promotes sharing of ideas and best practice to the benefit of the customer service team and network.

- A minimum of 3 years customer service management preferably in global export logistics;
- The ability to work well under pressure and be an effective influencer;
- Strong presentation skills;
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the business;
- A strong customer approach and resillience;
- Secondary level education;
- High degree of IT literacy
- Experience of 3rd party logistics.
- Experience of freight (air and/or sea) - desirable
