Job description
There’s every chance you’ll have eaten our food, so why not share our success and come and work for us? Bidfood is a leading wholesale food distributor and the preferred supplier for over 60,000 customers across the UK, ranging from pubs to schools, from restaurants to care homes and everything in between.
From Lands End to John O’Groats, whether our customers want just a teaspoon or a full range of catering supplies, we’ll supply their needs. We work as a team to provide every food option from quality ingredients to finished meals, including a number of own brand ranges as well as all the big brands and regional specialties. We believe in our food, and we know that our people behind the scenes are so very important in our success.
You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure all aspects of warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently; playing their part in the maintenance of the highest standards of customer service.
You’ll make sure all goods are picked, numbered and stocked correctly in a timely fashion, through effective management and development of the Warehouse Operatives team.
You’ll also make sure all company assets and equipment are maintained, utilised and organised to very high levels to enable us to reach maximum levels of productivity and efficiency. It’s vital that you back this up with strong attention to detail on all aspects of legislation, health & safety and audit.
You must bring experience in a fast-moving food distribution environment where you have successfully managed people, systems, stock and processes. You’ll be passionate about great organisation and service delivery, with the flexibility and correct attitude to respond quickly to changing priorities.
Instinctively knowing how to get the best out of your team and peers, you’ll seek out improvements to warehouse best practice whenever possible, and foster a strong teamwork ethic in all those around you.
If this is you, we look forward to hearing from you.
