Post: Hub Intelligence Officer
Salary: Scale 5 / 6 - £27,789 - £32,772 (plus 7.5% irregular working allowance and 247 hours weekend work enhancement)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Force Intelligence Function as a Hub Intelligence Officer. The work of the function is central to our understanding of criminality and the force’s delivery of intelligence led policing. This is done through evaluating, prioritising, researching, developing and tasking intelligence to tackle offenders and address crime and incident problems, taking into account threat, risk, harm and vulnerability.
You will work with police officers and police staff in the Hub Intelligence Team. You will evaluate, develop and disseminate intelligence on force systems, in line with the National Intelligence Model using the principle of THRIVE (threat, harm, risk, investigation, vulnerability and engagement). You will be involved in preparing intelligence products including subject profiles, threat and risk assessments, making recommendations for activity. You will also act as intelligence support to officers deployed on operational activity.
The post holder will have experience of researching information from computerised systems and evaluating information to inform decision making. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential however the post holder will also be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills. Good communication skills, with the ability to produce written reports and verbal briefings of a high standard are imperative as is the ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
Experience working in an intelligence role with practical experience of the National Intelligence Model and experience of researching and recording information in Niche integrated records managements system is desirable.
Hub Intelligence Officers are part of a team who cover seven days a week from 07:00 to 20:00 hours, with associated irregular working and weekend working allowance.
