The role
Location:
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high quality care and support to residents during the night time, promoting each person’s privacy, dignity and independence, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.
Whether you are talking to a resident who cannot sleep about their family,
completing a care plan document, assisting a resident to have a shower, or ironing someone’s favourite jumper, you will do so with Care, Comfort and Companionship at the heart of everything you do.

Requirements:
Previous experience is necessary for this role as full training and support will be provided.
General duties of a care worker:
-you will provide individual care as required by each resident in order to meet their personal needs whilst ensuring that each person's dignity and respect is upheld
-you will ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting residents with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing. Paying particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical difficulties, making the best use of aids provided
-you will support and encourage residents to maintain their independence with daily living
answer Call bell systems throughout the night, to give residents peace of mind
-you will share the responsibility for the health and safety of the residents and ensure the building is safe throughout the night
-you will conduct checks and support any residents who are awake or who need support.
You must have good written and verbal communication skills.
