Storage Warehouse Supervisor

£11.50 to £12.50 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to assist the Warehouse Manager at our Leeds storage facility.

As our warehouse supervisor, you will be responsible for:

The supervision of colleagues at the Morley Storage Centre, ensuring a smooth flow of stock in and out whilst optimizing use of available resources in the most efficient manner.

  • To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all warehouse and yard areas.
  • To ensure that the highest levels of communication are maintained with the warehouse teams and that the individuals are appropriately trained and motivated.
  • To adopt a continuous improvement approach striving to achieve improved performance against all measured parameters.
  • To ensure all inbound/outbound loads are scanned and recorded in line with the daily schedule and provide appropriate levels of communication to other departments.
  • To pro-actively identify process development opportunities and to work with other departments to successfully implement such projects.
  • To assist the warehouse manager in reviewing and managing the performance of the warehouse team, proactively managing their motivation, identifying training needs and developing skills as appropriate.
  • To inform the Warehouse manager of any issues which may adversely affect warehousing or customer service or operational quality.
  • Ensure all colleagues complete their daily MHE/Vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • To assist the warehouse manager in the delivery of SWP compliance.
  • To deputize for the warehouse manager in their absence.
  • To actively seek out personal improvements through participation in training and operational initiatives.

FLT licence essential.
