Job description

Our client are looking for temporary Warehouse Operatives.
This is an important part of the Distribution Centre team, dealing with goods and products that come into the Distribution Centre.

Your enthusiasm and initiative will help us manage operations and give our customers the level of quality they expect from our products.

Your role will involve supporting the DC management team by achieving the agreed targets across the business, as well as supporting the overall company targets.

Duties and responsibilities
Consolidating products on pallets

Recording all stock moves

Recording all stock moves

Assisting in stock counts as required

Supporting the Goods-In team as required and further responsibilities dealing with goods and products that come into the Distribution Centre.

Ensure all daily KPI’s are met

Ensure you keep to the company’s Health and safety site rules

Perform any reasonable tasks requested by reporting manager

Abide to the company policy

Skills and experience
Previous Warehouse experience is an advantage eg. Shop picking & Direct picking

Knowledge of replenishing stock required for daily picking

  • Good attention to detail

Good numerical ability

Good English language communication skills, both written and verbal

Energy, enthusiasm and passion for delivering service excellence

Flexibility to adapt as the role requires

Initiative & pro-activeness to achieve the best possible results

Professionalism in all communication and actions across the business

Additional information
We have 2 roles available:

20 hours a week - working both sat and sun 6am - 2pm

Upon successful initial screening, selected candidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive training course. The duration of the training course is three days for full-time roles and two days for part-time roles. Following the completion of the training, you will be promptly notified of your outcome and, if successful, offered a position within our logistics team

Full time - working Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £11.60 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Northampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
