Attracting over one million visitors each year, the 21,000 capacity Arena has hosted the biggest names in live entertainment including U2, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Pavarotti and the record-breaking 2010/2011 residency by local comedian Peter Kay.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our customer service team working as Arena Hosts, providing a high standard service to support the operations team in delivering high quality events. The role involves ensuring high standards of service are maintained and providing a welcoming professional environment for all visitors to the AO Arena.
Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and we are looking for team players that can make a positive contribution to the overall customer experience. We welcome applicants who take pride in their work, have a positive friendly attitude and possess excellent communication skills.
Main Duties
- Assisting the Operations Team in delivering all public events
- To deliver excellent customer service in line with our standards of operation
- To be the first line of assistance for all of our event day customers
- To ensure the safety of all our guests in an emergency situation
- To provide excellent service to customers with accessibility needs
- To follow applicable Health and Safety protocols
- To work with our security team in providing an excellent customer experience
Skills & Competencies required:
Essential:
- Ability to communicate with colleagues and visitors at all levels
- Willingness to learn and pick up new skills in a fast-paced environment
- Follow health and safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Be able to work under pressure and in a public facing role
- Interest in live entertainment and events
Desirable:
- Previous experience of customer service in a venue/hospitality environment
- ACT Awareness or SCAN Training
Successful applicants will be invited to join our casual database, giving them the opportunity to sign up for event-based shifts. This is a casual, event-based vacancy and will include evening, weekend and public holidays work.
Full on the job training will be provided for all successful candidates.
Rate of Pay: £11.50 per hour, plus holiday pay accrual (paid fortnightly).
