Is coordinating warehouse and workshop operatives and ensuring you run a safe and efficient operation a day-to-day occurrence for you? Do you find building strong and sustainable relationships with stakeholders a habit? If so, we are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join us, on a full time, permanent basis, to be based out of the Catcliffe, Sheffield site Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient service
- As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
- Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
- Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures
- Support the Contract Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
- Assist with executing the daily plan for the sites inventory, workshop and pick operations and all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated,
- Working closely with the onsite customer on a day-to-day basis, you’ll support with period reviews and customer presentation in the contract managers absence.
- Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Ideally you will already be a Transport/Distribution/Operations Manager working in or having experience in a 3PL environment , looking to prove yourself in a complex and diverse operation.
- A People manager and leader with a collaborative approach to achieving results
- A National/International CPC holder
- I.O.S.H Qualification
- Process driven
- You will have a track record of providing solutions to problems and delivering results in a fast paced environment
