Operating for over 75 years from within West Yorkshire, Victor Manufacturing Ltd are a long established, family owned and operated, manufacturer of catering equipment & servery counters, supplying a number of prestigious clients both nationally and internationally.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced, reliable, organised and hardworking individual to join our Stores Department in the role of Stores Manager
As Stores Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
· Taking responsibility for the day to day management of the stores department and its staff, including the day-to-day operations such as, stock control, stock management, the booking out of picked items and ensuring items are picked in a timely and accurate manner.
· Implementing, at all times, the company procedures and systems in line with ISO9001 standards.
· Taking responsibility for the organisation and managing of stock and organising and implementing monthly and year end stock checks.
· Always seeking continuous improvements within the department and looking at ways to improve efficiency.
· Managing the stores department staff effectively including providing the relevant training, direction and assistance when needed and overseeing staff absences, return to works and holidays.
· To liaise effectively with members of staff from various other departments including purchasing, operations, and production, ensuring components are issued to production correctly and in a timely manner.
· To always maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure the health and safety requirements are being adhered to.
The candidate
The successful candidate will have experience Managing a small team of staff within a stores / warehouse environment, be reliable, accountable, flexible, approachable, pro-active and have good IT skills. A FLT certificate is desirable.
A pro-active attitude to the role and a desire to succeed is a necessity for this role.
Hours of work
7:30am – 16:00pm (Mon to Thurs)
7:30am – 15:00pm (Friday)
(39 standard hours per week)
Some Saturday work will be required in this role
