Do you love cheese?
Would you like the opportunity to learn more about it, and the chance to eat it every day? We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to learn the art of cheese mongering, based out of the maturing rooms in Dyrham.
(This is a warehouse based role, not a customer facing role, and is offered on a 12 x month contract).
The Fine Cheese Co. started from our passion for cheese, and our belief that good cheese deserves a wider audience. We select and mature artisan cheese: visiting farms across England to specify cheese, and importing cheese directly from France, Italy, Spain, Holland and Switzerland. A commitment to real cheesemaking, and the love of good food has been the inspiration behind our business.
- You will need to learn about the cheese and taste it daily, to ensure the highest quality is maintained. You will then need to cut, wrap, label and pack it, ready to send to our customers.
- You will need to perform a thorough clean down at the end of every shift and partake in regular deep cleans.
- Learn how to use and work with our computerised stock system. This requires computer literacy and great attention to detail.
- Store our cheese and look after it while it is here. Cheeses need; turning, brushing and even hoovering to coax the very best out of them.
- Partake in out periodic stock takes
Previous work in a food environment is desirable, but an interest in cheese and a willingness to work hard is essential
The advertised pay rate is a starting figure, we progress our employees to achieve greater rates of pay according to performance, with two further bandings for those who excel!
