About the role
A fantastic fixed term opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic HR Operations team. The HR Operations team is at the center of helping our service areas successfully deliver the Council’s programme of transformation and service redesign.
Working directly with the HR Business Partner aligned to our Children’s Services Directorate the successful candidate will support on key activity which will enable the continued planning, delivery and implementation of the Children’s Services improvement journey.
The HR Project Co-ordinator will be instrumental in providing project management support and co-ordination of HR activity which will include the development and monitoring of project plans, ensuring activities run smoothly and according to agreed deadlines.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Providing a professional, responsive and legally compliant advisory and consultancy service on a diverse range of human resources issues including those associated with organisational change and service redesign.
- Providing comprehensive HR, project and programme management support to the HR Business Partner in identifying, developing, and delivering people interventions in line with business objectives and executing key strategic projects.
- Supporting the effective delivery of a range of HR projects critical to the success of the Council’s People Strategy
About you
Your style and approach will reflect our EPIC values and behaviours. This role will be pivotal in helping the HR Business Partner support the delivery of the improvement plan within Children’s Services.
You should hold a minimum of a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
You will have previous experience and an understanding of service redesign and organisational change processes and will have had exposure and experience of project management methodology and techniques.
This role will require the post holder to have a high level of organisational skills and an attention to detail is essential. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to develop trust and credibility; using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve shared objectives
Additional Information
This role will be based at Trafford Town Hall. You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office.
