Role Summary: Warehouse Supervisor (Backshift)
The Warehouse Supervisor will join our fast-paced Warehouse team, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the general operation of the warehouse and team.
You will assist management by reporting and monitoring all warehouse activities.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
- Reporting on warehouse productivity.
- Reporting relevant information and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health and Safety procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
- Performing daily inspections of the warehouse.
- Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements.
- Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Control of Forklift Truck management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets.
Qualifications:
- Reach Truck Licence (Required)
- Counterbalance Licence (Required)
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ Warehouse experience (required)
- Supervisor / leadership experience within Warehouse environment (preferred)
- Experience of operating a Warehouse Management System
- Be organised, articulate and methodical with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction.
- Have strong attention to detail.
