We are seeking speculative applications for a number of tradespeople within the areas that we operate. This is an important semiskilled role in which you will:
Ensure the preparation and collection of stock materials by proactively ensuring materials are organized ready for collection or delivery to ensure maximum efficiency operating the agreed technology, utilising a click and collect service to meet the demands of the businesses.Ensure all necessary documentation is processed in line with warehouse internal operational procedures and processes including raising purchase orders, goods receipting, stock issues & stock returns, stock transfers, and any supplier or invoicing issues.
Assist the Warehouse Manager and Stock Processing assistant in reviewing the nature of stock requirements on a seasonal and continual basis, making necessary changes/plans to ensure the most effective use of stock management.
Liaise with suppliers regarding the delivery of materials and queries that may arise, aiming to achieve effective resolution.
Ensure purchase orders are processed and goods receipting for invoice in line with financial regulations.
Undertake the management of warehouse deliveries from suppliers ensuring they are processed, and quality assessed in line with warehouse operational procedures and stored safely in designated areas. This includes undertaking compliance checks on material deliveries and ensuring defective materials, shortfalls on deliveries and missing components are reported.
Undertake the management of the warehouse mailbox and emailing responses timely for delivery and collection of products to customers and its suppliers sites at various locations. Utilising the electronic calendar invites and proactively resolving queries from customers and suppliers.
Drive company vehicles including the forklift truck in a careful and professional manner in accordance with all company procedures.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience in a warehouse environmentBe willing to be proactive in the continuous improvement of a quality service
Have experience of activity associated to warehousing or materials management
Be able to demonstrate initiative when dealing with situations and completing tasks
Have good communication skills which enable the post holder to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Forklift truck licence is desirable
Full UK or EU driving license is essential
