Job description
Due to our continuous growth, we are actively seeking a new apprentice to join our Warehousing Team. The successful candidate will learn all the duties involved within the warehouse operation alongside developing the skills & knowledge required to pursue a career within this sector.
Key Responsibilities
This varied role will include the following duties. All relevant training will be given:
- Picking & Packing products – following instructions given by warehouse manager
- Gathering the correct IFU carton and product to build the assigned product
- Boxing & Shelving – boxing up the build you have completed and putting it on the correct shelf
- Cleaning & disposing – collapsing and disposing of empty boxes, clearing and cleaning down the area ready for the next job including putting the remaining product back in its correct place before picking the next job
- General assistance and Maintenance – once a month have a look over, tidy, reorganise the warehouse if required for potential new orders coming in, to free up space, to perform general cleaning, sweeping
Potentially going forward the role may involve:
- Checking-in products into the warehouse – teaming up with a warehouse colleague when large amounts of products are delivered, checking pallets in and breaking them down, checking against purchase orders / delivery notes, placing products on correct shelf when checked

- GCSE or equivalent Maths & English (Grade Grade A*-C/ 4-9) desirable
Things to consider
The duties will include lifting and moving of various packages so you should be physically fit

£11,661
Working week
Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4pm
Total hours per week: 34.5 hours a week

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Apprenticeship standard
- Supply chain warehouse operative level 2
- The apprenticeship programme design will be built around the standard and individual apprentice and employer needs
This will consist of:
- A fully embedded induction programme delivered by the employer and Seetec Outsource Training and Skills
- An initial assessment of your skills, knowledge and behaviours in order to develop and enhance your career and personal progression
- In line with the with functional skills requirements set by the standard, (where applicable), we will analyse and continuously develop English and Mathematics
- On the job training delivered by the employer
Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out:
- Regular training
- Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours in order to progress and develop
- Identify, track and support 20% off the job training activities
- Quarterly formal progress review meetings; identifying learning achievements and next steps
- Individual learning plan - this will be used as part of a professional discussion during your reflective progress review meeting and track the 20% off the job training progress
- A journey of learning activities over the length of the apprenticeship programme
- Access to on-line learning and an e-portfolio where you will be able to gather evidence to demonstrate your performance ensuring your apprenticeship – this evidence can be used to towards your end point assessment
