Waking Night Support Worker

Based in the village of Willingham- easily commutable from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
We have a great opportunity for a fun, energetic and optimistic Support Worker to join Dimensions, a not-for-profit charitable society and housing association that supports people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will provide essential overnight support to five adults aged between 30-40. You will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate support is given in line with risk assessments and support plans whilst also carrying out a few critical allocated tasks, such as:
- Carry out 'keeping safe checks' at regular intervals to ensure the people we support are safe and comfortable.
- Ensure that their environment is clean and sanitary.
- Supporting with their morning and night plans and routines- they may wish to go out for a drink or to see a late-night film at the cinema!
- You will keep written records, using IT systems as required, including but not limited to updating support plans, incident logs and health and safety records.
- Creating a calm therapeutic environment for the people we support.
- Support and supervision of daily personal living tasks and private hygiene.

- You're able to communicate clearly, adapting what you say and how you say it so that each person can understand you.
- You're able to work flexibly and to respond effectively to changes in workload and the needs of the people we support.
- You can develop positive working relationships with all those involved with Dimensions - including those we support, families, carers, internal colleagues, and external agencies.
