We are seeking an experienced Waiter to join the team at Hyde Park Garden at the Iconic Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London for the summer season 2023.
We can consider applicants for either a fixed term contract over the summer (ideally April to end of September) or a permanent contract with an opportunity to move into another department within Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London after the Hyde Park Garden closes.
This is a full-time position working 4 days a week. Hyde Park Garden is an outdoor restaurant and therefore opening hours are subject to weather conditions. Successful candidates will therefore have the opportunity to work in other departments at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London when weather conditions do not allow the Hyde Park Garden to operate.
About Hyde Park Garden
As guests enter through the iconic entrance on Knightsbridge and walk through the hotel to the Hyde Park Garden, they will be transported to a secluded, quintessentially British garden, situated in the Royal Park itself.
The menu will be inspired by British botanicals found in gardens all around the country, made with the finest of produce sourced from across the land and sea of the British Isles where possible. The drinks list will feature a celebration of English sparkling wines alongside cocktails creatively designed to be enjoyed whilst looking out across the most beautiful of the capital's parks.
About the role
As a Waiter you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensure the restaurant is always immaculately presented
- Prepare mise en place and set up tables
- Work alongside a Head Waiter to assist in taking orders and serving food and drinks
- Be fully knowledgeable about the menu
- Deliver exceptional and iconic service to guests, upholding the standards of Mandarin Oriental.
