North Northamptonshire Council are currently seeking applications from ambitious and motivated individuals to work at Corby East Midlands international pool
We have opportunities for full time and part time leisure assistants working up to 37 hours per week including evenings and weekends.
This is an exciting opportunity to come and work at our fantastic facility that include a 50m swimming pool, diving pool, 70 station gym, exercise studio, health suite and creche.
The successful applicant will ideally hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification although training is available for suitable candidates.
You will have the opportunity to develop your career by undertaking NVQ qualifications level 1 to 3 in areas such as gym instruction, level 1 and 2 aquatic qualifications and entry level management qualifications.
What will you be doing?- Undertake lifeguarding and associated duties as specified in the Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans
- Ensure an excellent standard of customer care is implemented and maintained in line with the Customer Care Policy
- Assist with maintaining standards and records in relation to appropriate Quality Awards
- Assist in the operation of the Pool and Health Suite Plant room in accordance with operational procedures
- Operate mechanical equipment within the facility e.g. moveable floor, booms, diving boards in accordance with operational procedures and programme requirements
- Comply with the Councils Health and Safety Policy
- Cover reception and crèche duties as required
- Positively promote the facility through membership sales, leaflets, displays, general daily duties and any such promotional activities Specific Responsibilities
