We are looking for a hands-on VP of Engineering to join a global FinTech organisation currently expanding in to the UK.
As one of the worlds largest online brokers, with offices in over 16 countries this is a unique opportunity to take your career to the next step. As VP of Engineering you will be focused on creating and implementing the roadmap within your department and building your team to maximise their performance.
Role and responsibilities:
Within the role you will have responsibility for growing and leading your team here in the UK whilst liaising with global teams. You will be creating and designing the strategy, vision and roadmap required to drive performance and meet the needs of the business whilst working alongside your counterparts in other teams to deliver the overall business objectives. It is vital for this position that you are happy to work hands-on, getting stuck in with the team and leading from the front.
Skills Required:
This opportunity will be based out of the companies new office based in Reading, ideally working on a hybrid basis (once per week). Depending on experience the salary on offer is between £100,000-£130,000 with a competitive bonus scheme also available. This is an exciting position where you can take ownership of your team and their projects whilst driving the business forward and creating a new team.

- 15 years experience specialising in software development/engineering
- 5+ years building and leading a team of engineers
- Experience with C++/Perl and Node
- Currently/most recently working in a hands-on role.
