Russell Taylor group have an exciting new vacancy working for a rapidly expanding biotech facility. If you come from a strong molecular biology background with hands on experience of working with viruses in the lab, then Russell Taylor would love to hear from you!
The Role
· Assisting with studies to manufacture viral vectored vaccines.
· Maintaining and evaluating mammalian and bacterial cell culture lines
· Conducting laboratory meetings and presentations based on your research within the lab.
· Suggesting new approaches to immunotherapies
· Performing analytical assays, determining their quality, yield and stability, etc.
· Working under GRP regulations
· Attending yearly scientific coursed to continue educational progression.
The Person
· The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree/MSc/PhD in either virology or molecular biology.
· Must have previous experience of working hands on with genetically modified viruses in the lab.
· Must be able to design and clone mammalian cassettes. For example, DNA, PCR, ELISA, western Blot, viral growth curves, virus purification, viral titers, etc
· Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Must have excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate scientific information.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £50,000.00 per year
