Job description

The Successful candidate will join a leading company within the travel and technology industry based in Slough.

After a huge period of international growth, they are looking for experienced .NET Developers with experience in VB.NET and C#, to join their close-knit team.

You will gain consistent access to the latest technologies and huge growth opportunities, as the client look to dominate the market in the coming years.

Responsibilities:

  • With rapid adaptation & understanding of existing applications and technical environment, gain in-depth technical knowledge of ATCORE systems
  • Work with internal and sub-contractor teams to ensure clear communication of technical issues
  • Investigate and manage technical issues accurately
  • Participate in software development lifecycle activities to deliver and validate new features and fixes according to required timescales and risks
  • Proactively investigate, implement solutions and bug fixes in cooperation with development management and other internal teams
  • Take ownership and responsibility of components and processes within the team to make tactical and strategic changes
  • Proactively manage development risks and issues in cooperation with the management team

Requirements:

  • As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in technical roles within software development organisations
  • High standard of programming in .net development technologies, using vb.net
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with a willingness to pick up and learn new languages and technologies as needed
  • Experience of Bootstrap, Foundation and/or other responsive frameworks
  • A solid understanding of browser capabilities
  • A full appreciation of configuration management & issue tracking management issues and systems
  • UI Design, MVC patterns and mvc.net, IIS management knowledge

Up to £55,000 depending on experience
