Do you have a pastoral background but looking for something a little different? Hawthorn
Primary school is looking to recruit an unqualified teacher. You will need to be comfortable around dogs as we do have a therapy dog who spends a lot of time with the pastoral team.
Hawthorn Primary School is a friendly one form entry primary school, with a part time nursery and hearing-impaired resource base.
We are seeking a talented, creative, enthusiastic, passionate, and energetic Unqualified Teacher who is committed to providing the highest level of support to the children in our school. A knowledge of working with vulnerable families is essential as well as awareness of the Birmingham Children’s Trust processes.
We require an eager and passionate team player that will innovate and raise standards as well as attainment. A positive approach to child development, managing behaviour and attendance is essential as well as working with families and making links within the local community.
The role will include some teaching throughout the week, but you will primarily be based in the pastoral area, working alongside another member of staff. You will also take a lead with our pupil ambassadors and work with pupils to support with their mental, social, and emotional needs.
