QUALITY/LABORATORY INTERN
ASHFORD
12 MONTH FTC

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

There are various areas within the department in which we are able to place this person in depending on their preference and background such as; Finished Goods, Bulk QC, IC or Analytical Lab.

Role Overview

The IC Chemist Intern will be assist in the industrialization of new processes and new formulae coming from the Research & Development laboratory and Process development plant.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Technical
Support the IC Chemist with manufacture of assigned Pilot Batches and conducting of filling trials, providing detailed reports and samples for relevant testing.
Become competent in conducting COSHH, RA and FMEA for new formula/products from conception to industrial pilots.
Colour match lab batches, pilot bulk and support the factory in matching Production batches.

Team Work
Partner with key functions –Process development and Manufacturing to continuously improve manufacturing methods.
Partner closely with IC Chemist to learn and develop understand of key day to day tasks
Manage and communicate New Product Development projects with support of IC Chemist.
With production teams develop, agree and issue line running criteria for production of finished goods.

Data and Analytics
Data collection for KPI’s driving and communicating improvement plans.
To be aligned with GLP, GMP and H&S and ensure they work within these guidelines
Report on root cause Investigation and problem solving when non-conformance or deviation to standards arise ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
