Underwriting Assistant - Reinsurance
Some exposure to the reinsurance area, either from Broking or underwriting is essential for this career opportunity with an expanding Lloyd’s underwriters.
To capture and process risk data on the underwriting data entry system, ensuring that such data is accurate and up to date.
To record, report and manage accurate aggregate data for binding authorities, open market and lineslip declarations down to street address level for each risk written.
Maintenance of underwriting files.
The scanning of slips, endorsements, and other relevant information onto the document management system.
Associated filing and archiving.
Management of binding authority contracts according to delegated underwriting compliance procedures.
Liaise externally with the broking community to ensure smooth operation of the above as needed.
Assistance with the cover holder audit scheduling process.
To undertake ad hoc project work as required.
To be aware of the risks and controls relevant to the underwriting of the small property book and discuss/report any issues with small property underwriter.
To assist with all other aspects of underwriting for example technical pricing, book analysis, audits, and analytics.
