Underwriting Assistant (m/f/d)

Job Purpose:The role will involve working with underwriting units by undertaking internal processing of new and renewal business through the Company’s insurance and reinsurance systems (UWPF-FAB and BMS2.0) in order to deliver accurate system entries and files that support and are accessible to the business in a timely manner.
Your job
Key Responsibilities:- Internal processing of new and renewal business as well as endorsements.
- Entering submissions into the system for clearing purposes.
- Create and maintain the electronic business file through Records Management (eBF) to ensure current, accurate documentation is accessible to the business.
- Setting up Large Single Risk policies and maintain quality of data in all underwriting systems.
- Reviewing slips, endorsements and other documentation received by the underwriting teams.
- Collaborate with GLISE accounting (RIA) and underwriters on credit control issues.
- Obtain copies of slips and other documentation for claims department as required.
- Set-up, maintain and update eBF for submissions, new and renewal business and endorsements. Ensure any incoming documentation (from any source) is identified and matched to the appropriate file(s).
- Perform quality control of system entries to ensure accurate data input.
- Support the underwriters with the quarterly and year-end process.
Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role.

- Insurance or Reinsurance knowledge
- Knowledge of UWPF-FAB, BMS, Records Management (eBF) and Excel
(intermediate)
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:- Insurance / Reinsurance knowledge and experience
- Keen to begin the Insurance Diploma
