Picker / Packer (Warehouse Operative)
We are looking for a hardworking Picker / Packer (Warehouse Operative). You will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as picking, packaging and fulfilling single orders from stock, receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, packing and shipping larger orders, managing, organising and retrieving stock, plus other warehouse responsibilities.
You should have previous experience of driving a Fork lift or Reach Lift truck and refresher training will be given, although using this equipment is quite a small part of the job.
Picker / Packer (Warehouse Operative) duties:
- Picks and packs products based on daily orders, using scanner guns and manual pick tickets
- Stage larger orders.
- Arrange competitive transportation and coordinate deliveries to meet customer requirements.
- Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure deliveries are on time.
- Keep products separated, organised, well identified and in good stock rotation.
- Organise and maintain certain stock levels, using computer system or Kanban.
- Cycle count and reconciliation of stock quantities.
- Monitor product quality
- Operate various pieces of equipment (i.e. Strapping Machine, Dolly Loader, Pallet Truck, High Reach Mobile Ladders, Reach Truck).
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicles, by hand and/or Reach Truck.
- Follows good practices and required work safe practices.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe working area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Picker / Packer (Warehouse Operative) Qualifications / Skills:
- Previous warehouse experience is definitely preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Scanning and sorting incoming / outgoing stock
- Picking, packing, and loading
- Receiving, stocking, stacking, labelling, and communicating
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time

Salary: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
