We are looking for two committed, experienced care workers to provide dressing and bathing support to a lovely lady in the Fenwick area. The lady has suffered a heart attack, followed by a stroke that has led to left side weakness, reduced mobility and support is required to enable her to return home.

The lady is a keen animal lover and prior to her health issues she enjoyed regular visits to the lake district. She enjoys the countryside, listening to pop music and would prefer care workers who can engage with her around her interests. She has full capacity and will direct workers to her needs as and when appropriate.

The lady requires support to help with bathing predominantly her back and lower extremities as well as dressing as the left sided weakness makes adjusting and fastening garments difficult.

The support is for morning and evening calls over 7 days per week.

The hope is two workers will share the hours between them and cover when the other is unavailable.

Hours:

Flexibility may be available with the timing of the calls for the successful applicant

Wage: £11.91 per hour

Holiday 5.6 weeks pro rata per year to be agreed with employer
