We are professional, and our goal is for HB Tutoring in Warwick to take a ground up approach to tuition, ensuring that a strong foundation is established from day o This allows for an exploration of the subject that promotes a deep & meaningful understanding of mathematics, we also build confidence!.

HB Tutoring makes sure to find tutors that don't just have the right qualifications on paper, but have a passion for what they do and possess excellent people skills.

HB Tutoring want tutors who can build relationships with students and help them feel comfortable and cared for during their sessions.

The first obstacle to face in students' education is their personal learning style. As a result of getting this right, they are able to learn more quickly and retain information more effectively. You must therefore be adaptable to different learning styles and have the skills to build up your students' confidence and motivation to be successful.

Responsibilities and Duties as a Tutor:

  • Deliver high quality 1:1 tutoring to students from our office and online through Zoom.
  • Create customised learning plans and schedules for each students' tailored to their strengths and learning style
  • Make your students a top priority by being flexible and available when needed
  • Work closely with parents and teachers to keep everyone informed about a student's progress and needed support
  • Can take ownership and responsibility for personal actions and projects
  • Regular catch-up meetings with the line manager

What we are looking for in a Tutor:

Essential knowledge and requirements:

  • Sector specific qualifications - degree in Maths, English or Science or studying towards or similar is desirable
  • Subject matter expertise
  • Must be educated within the British schooling system
  • Flexible and available 7 days a week - mainly during the evenings and weekends.

Please note HB Tutoring cannot guarantee a set number of weekly hours of work

You hour will build up from day one

  • Must be willing to undergo a Background and DBS check
  • Previous experience of teaching at all levels is desirable but not essential as training will be given

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: £15.00-£20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Warwick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
