The opportunity has arisen to join the Sea Ceptor ‘Export New Business and Delivery' team as a Head of Export Engineering Delivery leading the Export Engineering delivery activities as the customer facing technical lead for a particular contract or contracts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in engineering or systems integration who is seeking a challenge, wanting to build on his or her experience by being the Engineering Delivery focal point for one or more of the Sea Ceptor Export contracts. Managing the complex and challenging technical interface between the company and the customer including the Combat System and Platform Integration of a complex weapon system on to a maritime platform.

As the Primary Engineering and technical interface for the Export contract you will not only manage the customer interaction from a technical perspective but also the interface into the project and subsystem teams.

You will:

• Work with the Sea Ceptor Design Authority to managing the prioritisation and resolution of issues that may arise during the execution of Sea Ceptor export contracts providing clear guidance to enable the generation a cost effective and deliverable solution.
• Own the delivery of the contractual technical scope to ensure customer understanding of the complete technical solution and satisfaction but also to ensure maintenance of the company position.
• Using strong influencing, communication and relationship building skills to work collaboratively with the subsystem teams and identify the level of compliance provided by existing systems/solutions and documentation. Where required influencing the proposed in country strategy to ensure any proposal delivered is credible and deliverable.
• Work in conjunction with the New Business Team to feedback and highlight challenges faced during the execution of export contracts to ensure these are fed into any future bids and generic export documentation.
• When required support the New Business Team and the MBDA Sales and Business Development Team in the generation of new costed proposals and negotiating new Sea Ceptor contracts, particularly focussing on the Statement of Work and Product Specification.

The role will involve some business travel.
