Who we are looking for
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate in the Financial Operations Payables team which ensures suppliers are paid to terms and expense claims are compliant with policy. They will report to the Payables Manager and work with a team of 5 people as well as an outsourced service provider. The role is offered as a permanent role
About the role
As a Senior Associate the individual should have a basic understanding of business, technical, analytical and possess commercial skills and be able to apply their knowledge to provide support to the Payables Manager and wider stakeholders including suppliers, claimants, financial approvers and Financial Operations Helpdesk. The individual should be enthusiastic to learn, able to prioritise, confident to communicate in both verbal and written forms and be a strong relationship builder. Previous experience of Source to Pay and Expense management systems is preferred.
The Senior Associate will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager in the following areas:

Financial control and compliance

Works closely on a regular basis and works collaboratively during critical times such as month end.
Leadership - Demonstrate impact during meetings whilst actively listening and flexing style to deliver desired results. Suggest improvements and help drive agendas forward. Is a problem solver and identifies areas for developing deeper relationships. Are seen as the go to person in the Financial Operations team. Good at sharing knowledge, mentoring or coaching and acting as a good role model.
Curiosity - Be curious at all times with a thirst for wider business knowledge. Builds relationships within their business unit and the wider firm. Strong engagement in peer group, inquisitive about wider issues, takes an interest in discussions/topics. Proactively explores opportunities to be involved in wider projects.
