We are now looking to recruit X2 Class 2 Drivers to join our team in Derby on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to Howdens depots within the Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire areas. The role involves very minimum manual handling as the products will be unloaded via FLT Drivers.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring designated routes and times comply with customer plans
• Maintaining fuel consumption targets and ECO driving scores
• Complying with legal requirements including vehicle, Tachograph and driving regulations
• Ensuring all documentation and company procedures are adhered to
• Escalating any issues or problems which may affect delivery or collection
• Maintaining a good working relationship with our customer and complying with all site rules
• Completing all vehicle checks and reporting any defects to the transport office

About You

To be considered as a Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• full, valid driving Class 2 licence with a minimum of 12 month’s experience
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR, or DG codes)
• Excellent Customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A valid DCPC qualification
