Valley Carriers is a multi-generational, family owned trucking, and specialty transportation company with hubs based in Abbotsford, Delta, Merritt and Kelowna. We haul sawdust, wood chips, grain, soils, bark mulch, other wood residuals and more. Currently, Valley Carriers has a fleet size of sixty trucks and employs over 100 people.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Motivated and dependable person
• Strong work ethic and a sense of personal accountability and ownership
• Very organized with high attention to detail and ability to complete required paperwork consistently/accurately.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and problem solve
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability and willingness to be cross-trained on different types of truck/trailer equipment

Overview:

Local work with a tridem tractor and 53’ walking floor trailer; hauling sawdust, wood chips and other bulk products

Home Terminal: Merritt

Shifts Available: Full time, part time, day-shift, night-shift, overnight-shift

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Starting at $76,000

Additional pay: Bonus pay

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 License required
• A positive and professional attitude; the desire to become part of our company culture
• Minimum of 2 years class 1 trucking experience
• Mountain highway driving experience
• Loader experience (asset)
• An acceptable, clean abstract
• Passport (asset)

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• No weekends
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
