All About the Role
The purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related warehouse duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area, working to all stringent health and safety standards. The hours are Monday to Friday 6.00am – 3.30pm plus overtime when required.
Specific tasks could include:
- To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
- Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.
- To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
- To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
- Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner.
- To work in the warehouse when required

All About You
Essential Skills for the role:
- To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
- Knowledge of working time directive.
- Understanding and experience of EHS requirements.
- Multi-Drop experience.
- Experience working with Steel.
