AWE is currently recruiting for a Transport Operations Team Leader to lead and supervise the Transport Drivers and safely deliver the customer requirements.
Location – Basingstoke/Reading
Package – £34,470 - £45,000 dependant on skills and experience plus allowances

Key Accountabilities:
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet service delivery targets
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards, and team performance, in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
  • Provide support to the Transport Operations Specialist, when requested
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing adequate supervision of all UK Road Transport Tasking within the area of responsibility
  • Work with the Transport Operations Specialist to ensure the day-to-day delivery of the UK Road Transport Operations Service across the business are met
  • Engage and support relationships at a local level to promote a high performing team
  • Ensure staff are competent and trained to carry out assigned tasks safely to time, cost and quality
  • Manage key performance indicators on schedule, quality, safety, delivery and cost
  • Actively engage with and support the PDG process
  • Give advice and guidance on career development including coaching, provision of feedback and providing appropriate support
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement
  • Work effectively with others, building relationships and interfaces across the business to support the programme
  • Provide a diverse and inclusive working environment that allows individuals to flourish and realise their potential
  • Advise the Transport Manager of any non-routine events, non-compliances or complaints that may have occurred
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of Contract Security to enable continuity of service all times
  • Ensure all operational documents are suitable, sufficient, and up to date, in line with internal and regulatory requirements
  • The company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties as aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs
