Job description

We’re looking for a Transport Manager Apprentice to join our Kier Highways team based in Wellingborough. Within this role, you can enjoy discounts at high street brands, gaining a recognised qualification, working on exciting projects and even more.

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Responsibilities

As a Transport Manager Apprentice, you’ll be working within the Kier Highways team, supporting them in keeping over 27,000km of roads flowing across the UK.

Your day to day will include:

  • Providing first-class administrative services to the transport team
  • Deal with vehicle defects, carry out inspections on site and support with vehicle checks
  • Assisting the team in ordering new vehicles where necessary
  • Working towards an HGV and transport management qualification

You will also study for a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification with support from our experienced teams – giving you the practical skills and expertise to excel in your career.

  • Can work collaboratively within a team
  • Have experience in using various IT packages effectively
