What's the Opportunity?
As the Transport Co-ordinator you will assist with the organisation and support the control of the transport resources ensuring the delivery of a high quality and cost efficient service to customers.
Your Responsibilities?
· Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to enable the Site to achieve service expectations.
· Address customer concerns immediately and escalate where appropriate in a timely manner.
· Manage transport resources in line with operational and budgetary requirements including shift rota management to maintain service levels.
· Plan and manage operational resources to optimise the utilisation of labour and equipment to effectively manage forecasted volumes.
· Ensure effective communication links between colleagues and other shifts to ensure operational consistency.
· Drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement.
· Ensure effective communication levels are met at all times with key stakeholders.
What you will need to succeed?
· Proven track record of being an integral support in managing a transport department.
· Proven understanding of working in a multi customer centric operation.
· Proven track record in planning operational resources to optimise the utilisation of labour and equipment.
· Proven track record of working in and contributing to a continuous improvement environment.
· In-depth knowledge of driver’s rules and regulations and WTD.
· National/International CPC Desirable
