Salary: Business Support, Scale 4, Points 17 – 19

From £20,100 - £22,231 per annum

Contract: NSG Business Support, Full time, Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays

Pension: NEST Pension Scheme

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an IT Operations Technician in IT. This role is full time, permanent. The IT Operations Technician will repost into the IT Operations Support Team Leader. They will provide first line IT Support to all users at any of the Middlesbrough College sites.

The successful candidate will:

  • Grade C or above in Maths or English (or equivalent) – Essential
  • Relevant IT qualification at Level 2 – Essential
  • 1 Years’ experience working in an equivalent IT role – Desirable
  • Experience of exceeding customer expectations and commitment to excellence - Desirable
  • Experience of working within an IT Department providing service to a variety of customer areas – Desirable.
  • Experience of using Service Desk software systems and working to Service Level Agreements – Desirable.
  • Providing 2nd line support to incidents and requests logged via a ITSM ticketing system
  • Provide technical assistance in relation to project management support
  • Understanding of the requirements of Cyber Essentials +
  • Administration of SCCM to provide OS imaging and application packaging
  • Supporting Audio Visual technology
  • Providing administrative support across an Office 365 platform
  • To have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • To have excellent interpersonal, team working and customer service skills
  • An excellent communicator
