Job description
As a Product manager, you will support both the tactical and strategic needs of our Shipping and Receiving technology products; driving development and expansion of new features and functionality to enable both DBS internal operations and the lines of business to effectively ship and track documents, packages and goods.
You will define and support the strategic vision and roll out of new logistics product capabilities and standards across the firm. You will drive the planning, sequencing and implementation of these initiatives to drive end-state transformation based on value, impact and time to market.
You will learn about the DBS product and processes, as well as internalize the needs of our business partners, understand and track current market capabilities, and assist in shaping new logistics solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and engineers to find simpler and effective ways to meet the needs of our product and business.
- Support in defining product requirements, creating and maintaining a prioritized backlog based on customer research, analysis and rigorous discipline and methodology.
- Conduct periodic review of Book of Work (BOW) with all impacted Stakeholders, and track risks and issues.
- Manage and refine product backlog initiatives to drive value in accordance with Payments and stakeholder priorities.
- Evaluate business requests through the lens of our customers and influence stakeholders to find customer friendly strategies that deliver business results
- Guides teams in establishing cost effective warehousing, logistics, and transportation strategies, evaluating, and improving inventory, shipping and packaging functions.
- Provides leadership and direction to distribution center teams, educating them on contractual requirements, identifying areas for improvement and assisting with implementation of process improvement activities. Conducts quarterly visits to distribution center
Required qualifications, skills and experience

- Strong ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written).
- Thought leader who looks for innovation opportunities for our clients and operational improvement opportunities for our firm.
- Strong presentation skills and effective communication with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent business acumen and familiarity with end-to-end product management and process workflow.
Preferred qualifications, skills and experience
- Proven experience in Product Management and delivery ideally in logistics and distribution.
- Proven track record over multiple years as an individual product manager responsible for value and viability of solutions.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills, proficiency in Excel and other analytics tools required.
