Western Fuel are recruiting for a Transport Administrator to be based at our site in Bridgwater, Somerset

The business supplies almost 100 million litres of fuel operating out of 4 depots, as well as offering fuel cards and other fuel related services. We see this vacancy as providing us with an important member of our transport team to support our ongoing development, reporting directly to the transport manager this role will also offer opportunities for further development within the transport sector.
Areas of responsibility are.
- Updating all transport related documents for review by the Transport Manager.
- Direct contact with our HGV tanker drivers, and problem-solving issues they have out on the road.
- Ensure all transport & company systems are updated accurately and on a timely basis and relevant paperwork is in place.
- To provide operational reports to the Transport Manager, specifically reporting on KPIs and providing information and analysis of data as required.
- Work closely with maintenance providers to ensure resource requirements and service schedules are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on vehicles, drivers, and depot affairs.
- Regularly review and update plans and communicate with all relevant colleagues.
- Working in conjunction with the Transport Manager and Directors on all relevant administrative tasks for the depot.
- Assisting with compliance in all aspects of the undertakings of our O-License, ensuring legal and operational commitments are met.
- Working with the Transport Manager to ensure we are constantly ready for audits relating to transport compliance, administration, and recordkeeping of training requirements.
- Support with overseeing the management of driver’s hours and WTD, ensuring infringements are recorded, analysed, and debriefed as per DVSA requirements.
- Manage site training matrices and provide relevant information to the Management team so all training requirements are effectively planned for all drivers.
- Provide structured fortnightly reports to the Transport Manager regarding compliance performance and corrective actions.
- Support the Transport Manager in their duties.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- CILT Level 2 Certificate in Logistics and Transport or equivalent.
- Good knowledge and application of transport regulations and health & safety procedures
- Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft application, Excel, Word, SharePoint, 365
- Excellent, up to date working knowledge of UK Transport and Working Time Regulations
Preferred Skills
- Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
- Ability to use initiative and be organised so key tasks are completed fully and on time.
- Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
- Understanding of ADR (Dangerous Goods)
- Experience of taking meeting minutes would be beneficial.
- A strong collaborator with the willingness and ability to foster strong relationships.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Must hold a Full UK driving license

· Starting salary of between £26k - £30k based on experience plus additional bonuses
· Permanent contract. Hours of work 8am to 5pm with an hour for lunch
· Access to a company vehicle for visiting depots.
