Job description

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Health Systems Engineering, Business, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) certification required within 1 year of hire Preferred Experience: Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team; proficiency in lean concepts and tools. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor with all levels of associates; Skills related to change management, coaching, mentoring; Demonstrated project management skills; Excellent communication and leadership skills; Ability to speak to various audiences; Ability to maintain a positive attitude when confronted with aversion to change; Ability to multitask and quickly transition to new priorities and to guide others likewise; Ability to maintain focus on projects and other improvement events Administrative Skills: Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience using advanced analytical tools such as Microsoft Access, Tableau, MiniTab, etc. Experience in relevant process mapping and project management software such as Microsoft Visio, SmartDraw, Microsoft Project, SmartSheet, KaiNexus, etc.

The Process Excellence (PEx) Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on robust process improvement and operational excellence. This expertise will be deployed by providing project management support on organizational improvement initiatives. . Key skills include knowledge of Lean/Toyota Production System (TPS), Six Sigma, project management, change management, teaching, coaching, data analysis, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and self-motivation. Reports directly to the Director, Process Excellence with no supervisory requirements.
