Work Redbridge, the Councils employment support and job brokerage service is seeking to grow the team to delivery of our Homes for Ukraine Programme, to support residents into sustainable employment, working closely with the Homes for Ukraine team in Families Together, Work Redbridge and BEAM.
As the Homes for Ukraine Officer, you will work closely with the Work Redbridge Employment Advisor to support a caseload of Ukrainian refugees living in Redbridge, with a focus on ensuring they have access to English Language learning opportunities, volunteering, and training pathways to move residents into sustainable employment. The postholder will also provide translation and interpreting on behalf of Ukrainian refugees and deliver informal ESOL conversation classes to individuals and small groups to improve language skills.
We are looking for someone who can speak fluent Ukrainian and/or Russian with demonstrable experience of supporting refugees in the community. Experience of teaching informal ESOL or conversation classes in the community and providing interpreting and translation services is desirable.
You will be an integral part of the Work Redbridge Team and support the work of other team members to achieve key priorities including meeting targets and delivering externally funded provision.
