Role Description
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Training and Services Co-ordinator is a key role as they set up the Barb Field Technicians for success, in making sure they have all the equipment and training needed to deliver a great service for Panel Homes. Maintaining a concise and consistent returns and repair service to ensure the timely rotation of metering equipment and solutions to the warehouse. During the recruitment and training of Field Technicians you will be required to create and deliver training material in respect to Barb metering equipment, storage, and maintenance. You will also be required to create and deliver remote workshop training, consisting standard methodology and procedures.
Job Role Requirements
  • Lead and maintain storeroom and inventory system - both physical and with warehouse management software.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch product requests to both internal (technicians) and external (panel member) recipients.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels on the stock system, updating when deliveries arrive, and when stock is returned by Field Technicians.
  • Assist the Support and Training Technician with the on-boarding of new Field Technicians in preparation for field training.
  • Assist with delivering the technical training program to field technicians.
  • Deliver training workshops, both remotely and at designated locations on Barb metering equipment and solutions.
  • Diagnose, repair and test faulty metering equipment returned from the field and call out emerging issues to the product team.
  • Supervise incoming/outgoing Barb metering equipment from the Kantar repair suite.
  • Create and maintain accurate repair logs for returned metering equipment from field.
  • Carry out updates and co-ordinate in-house testing of new tablet/sensor software in accordance with Kantar development.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support to Field Technicians in the installation of the Focal Meter and TV metering software.
  • Oversee procurement and testing of additional solutions and equipment from external suppliers in collaboration with Field Technicians and the Technical Services Manager.
  • Liaise with internal/external developers and co-ordinate the role out of improvements of warehouse management systems.
  • Ensure equipment is ready for use by Field Technicians, programming meters and sensor firmware/software when required.
  • Supervise SIM card activation/deactivation and procurement via network provider portal.
  • Provide feedback to management and the product team on new Barb metering equipment.
  • Provide knowledge support on stock lines to Field Technicians and Field Managers.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and/or projects with other areas in the Barb team as and when required.
Role Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will need to work autonomously, unsupervised and be able to prioritise daily tasks and complete them as the business needs, on time or call out issues rapidly to ensure smooth delivery of equipment to the field.
  • Service orientated and can see their contribution to the SLAs / Panel Service for Barb
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels – verbal and written.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) and other custom systems / software
  • Can demonstrate they are able to see opportunities for continuous improvement to processes, and work to achieving efficiency’s technical ability to prepare, test and repair equipment for use by Field Technicians using tailored software on bespoke equipment.
  • Is an excellent organiser and can successfully handle several conflicting priorities?
  • Methodical approach to tasks enabling efficient resolutions.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a challenging environment with the focus on delivering results with a keen eye for detail.
